PugSync ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our PugSync application ("App"), distributed through the Webflow Marketplace. PugSync allows users to synchronize articles from RSS sources to their Webflow sites using Webflow’s CMS features. We use Stripe as our payment processor and store non-personal data in a Google Firestore database hosted in Europe. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect and process the following information when you use PugSync:
1.1 Information Provided to Stripe
- Email Address: When you subscribe to our premium plan (supporting up to 10 RSS sources and unlimited posts), Stripe, our third-party payment processor, collects your email address for contact and billing purposes. We do not store this email address in our database.
- Payment Information: Stripe collects payment details (e.g., name, billing address, credit card, or bank account information) to process transactions for the premium plan. This data is handled per Stripe’s Privacy Policy (https://stripe.com/privacy).
1.2 Information Stored in Google Firestore
- Non-Personal Data: We store non-personal data, such as RSS feed URLs and synchronization settings, in a Google Firestore database hosted in Europe. No personal data is stored in our database.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymized data, such as the number of RSS feeds synchronized or synchronization frequency, to improve the App’s functionality.
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Technical Data: We may collect anonymized technical information, such as IP addresses, device type, browser type, and usage patterns, to analyze trends and enhance user experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the App’s RSS synchronization functionality.
- Process payments via Stripe for the premium plan.
- Improve the App using anonymized usage and technical data.
- Comply with legal obligations, including GDPR for users in the European Economic Area (EEA).
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information as follows:
- With Stripe: Your email address and payment information are shared with Stripe for payment processing (https://stripe.com/privacy).
- With Webflow: Non-personal data (e.g., RSS feed configurations) may be shared with Webflow to enable CMS synchronization (https://webflow.com/legal/privacy).

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For EEA users, our legal bases under GDPR are:
- Contractual Necessity: Processing payment information via Stripe to fulfill the premium plan contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Legitimate Interests: Processing non-personal and anonymized data to improve the App (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Legal Obligation: Processing data to comply with legal requirements (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
5. Data Storage and Security
- Storage Location: Non-personal data is stored in Google Firestore in Europe. Stripe stores payment data per its policies.
- Security Measures: We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, though no system is fully secure.
- Data Retention: Non-personal data is retained as needed to provide services or meet legal obligations. Upon account deletion, we delete non-personal data from Google Firestore, subject to legal requirements.

EEA users have the following rights:
- Access: Request access to your personal data.
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention.
- Restriction: Restrict processing in certain cases.

Data may be transferred outside the EEA via Stripe or Google Firestore. Stripe complies with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (https://stripe.com/privacy-center/legal#data-privacy-framework). Google Firestore implements safeguards per its Privacy Policy.
